View service levels
A service level is the response time target for the storage group.

About this task
All Flash arrays display headroom in IOPS along with the capacity headroom in GB. Behavior of pre-9.0 hybrid arrays remains the same (headroom is displayed in GBs only). If the IOPS headroom is not available, only the GB headroom is displayed at the top without the dropdown option. Both the headroom options are available only when WLP has processed data at least once.
Each service level card shows the service level name (display name if it has been renamed), the expected average response time (in millisecond). Available headroom is displayed for pre-9.0 hybrid arrays.
For pre-9.0 hybrid arrays, clicking and selecting a card displays a table. The table gives more details for the different workload types available for each service level. The None workload type is selected by default.
The details table is only visible for FBA service levels. For pre-9.0 all-flash arrays, the information previously in the table has been merged into the card information. For 9.0 and above arrays, Since there are no workload types, the table has been removed and all the information in the table has been moved up to the card.
The columns in the table include workload type, target response time, headroom, I/O density, I/O size, write %, skew and usage count for each workload type. All columns are sortable and all columns (except workload type) can be hidden.
Hover near the write % to view a pop-out showing more details on the mixture and similarly hover near the skew % to view a pop-out showing more details about the skew.
The service level view for All Flash arrays has been updated to display Compliance Range (RT range) for each service level and storage group information that is associated with each service level.
The Service Level view for all flash arrays (9.0 and later PowerMax and pre-9.0 250F/450F/950F) displays information about the front of the card with an ability to view more information by flipping to view the back of the card.
The front of the card displays the compliance range for each service level and the total number of storage groups that are associated with that service level and the number of storage groups in each compliance state - stable, marginal, and critical.
- Stable—Observed wait time weighted response time is better than the maximum response time allowed by the assigned service level for both of these periods (most recent 4 hours and most recent 2 weeks).
- Marginal—Observed response time for one of these two periods is worse than the maximum service level response time.
- Critical—Observed response time for both of these periods is worse than the maximum service level response time.
Average response time and workload type (where available) are also displayed along with the option to edit the service level name.
